Then for Figurative Art (HyungSang Art) emerged in the 1980s, the basic role of art as a visual language and the meaning implied by its form are combined with thematic sense, while becoming figurative, it contains the meaning of the letters not by abstraction or conception but by its figuration. Like this, the free use of various transfiguration in terms of the letters is important words and sentences of plastic language in which the letters are the base of image. With the diffusion of advanced technologies, today the letters became inseparable from our daily life as seen in print media (books and newspapers), store signs, and digital information on the Internet. Since we cannot live without letters in our daily life, the letters have become central media that show cultural characteristics and identities of the moderns, and become various and new sensuous images.
